When I first entered the world of journalism I thought of myself as only a writer. Over the years I have immersed myself more and more into the realm of photojournalism, and I've discovered a love for photography I never knew I had. I am now minoring in photojournalism.
Below are some examples of my news photography, to see more, check out my journalism instagram! |

I attended Hozier's Sept. 23 concert in Boston on a press pass for the Huntington News. For the first three songs of both the opener and main act I was allowed to shoot from the pit. It was an incredible experience and I learned a lot about how to manage the ever-changing lighting a concert presents.

These photos were taken for The Huntington News during the annual President's Convocation and Fall Fest Sept. 6.
The pictures from inside convocation were a challenge because the lighting was constantly changing and I had to adapt my camera settings very frequently. Captions are as written on The Huntington News website. |

After 910 days between Marathon Mondays, athletes returned to the roads of Boston for the 125th Boston Marathon. The 2020 race was the smallest since 2002, in part due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I spent the morning within a few miles of the finish line taking pictures of the racers, spectators and the aftermath of the event. It was very strange to be back in a crowd, but seeing Boston come together again was great.

After a year off due to the pandemic, the Head of the Charles Regatta returned to the Charles River in October 2021. I was part of a student coverage team of the event and shot photos on Friday and Sunday. It was challenging to shoot from the limited river bank spots I was able to get too, but the water makes for some pretty photos.

After a year and a half of delays, the class of 2020 finally got a graduation in November 2021. I took photos for the Huntington News and was once again confronted with constantly changing lighting and an unpredictable setting. It was fun and challenging to try to capture the experience of being at the ceremony.
